What I love about this blind man is that he refuses to let the pressure of others change his interactions with Jesus. Think of all the ways that disappointment, embarrassment, and pressure changes the way you act. We like to blend in with the crowd.
This man was desperate, and he was not about to let the pressure of the crowd disrupt his relationship with Jesus. May we all have such a single-minded focus on Jesus, that praying to God is sitting so heavily on our minds and hearts that we simply pray, aloud or silently, whenever necessary, such that God hears our prayers.
