Easter thoughts

In thinking about Easter, I've always though it would be awesome to build a giant paper mache tomb at the door of the sanctuary.  It would be great symbolism--as people emerged from the sanctuary, they'd be walking out of the tomb, symbolizing our walk in the newness of life that Christ provides.  We'd have great theology about how we have new life in Christ and live a resurrection life here and now--that our view of resurrection isn't only focused on life after death, but life here and now.  (If you get Time Magazine, Jon Meachem's article exploring our view on heaven is worth reading)

But then I realized that whenever people walked into church, they'd look at each other and say, "Well, guess we're going back into hell today."
