Hmmmmmmmmmmmm....
Looks like things are going to get a bit more interesting at the Jones household on or about September 10!
Here's the thing that amazes us--when we had the ultrasound done a few weeks back, Rachel was 6.5 weeks pregnant. Now, they start counting from the end of the last menstrual cycle, meaning that the egg and sperm hadn't started their construction project more than 4.5 weeks before the scan. In that time, God managed to put together something the size of a grain of rice, and that little grain of rice has a heart that beats 126 times every minute.
I cannot contemplate that without getting lost in wonder and awe. How tiny and intricate that all must be. How wondrous it all is. It simply amazes me.
There are all sorts of things to ponder--such as introducing Caleb to the idea that he will not longer have complete control over his parents and everyone else in his world, houses and minivans, etc., but right now, we're good with just wonder. The rest will come in time.
