The letters in Scripture move between the theological and the deeply personal exhortations, and they are linked -- we care for one another because of who God is and what God has done for us, and the relationships we have with one another encourage us to more deeply explore our relationship with God. Everything we do is in light of God's love and the grace that binds us together. The way we love and serve one another is motivated by the reality of God's eternal and heavenly kingdom. All these things matter.
With that, let us not treat one another lightly. May we care for each other with the devotion that each deserves, and may we serve those made in the image of God with the same love and dedication that we serve God.
