Tuesday

Lord,
It is so hard to imagine you dying for me, so many years ago. It is hard to picture that lonely hill with those crosses dominating the landscape. I close my eyes and chase away the image of the nails.
And yet you give life. Where humans attempted to sow death, you reap life. You have created anew, restored anew, granted new life and new opportunities. You have shone the light of life into new places, and I praise your holy name for that. Thank you, Christ, for not giving up on us, but for dying so that we might all live.
Amen
