Thursday Morning

Great Lord,
Your glory shines so brightly it is hard for me to see anything else. You have created all that is around me. Your handwriting flows throughout the pages of history; the Israelites, the early church, the Reformation all knew your presence and fought to glorify you. But so much comes easily to me that I simply take your presence for granted. I forget your love and your grace, foolishly believing I don't need them. You are great, O God, and greatly to be praised. May my life be an offering to you; not merely in words and thoughts, but in deeds and service. May my whole life be a love offering out of gratitude for who you are, what you've done and what you have promised still to do.
Amen
