O God,
May I be so humble as to remove myself from the center of my life. I know that you are high and holy, mighty and majestic, patient and persistent. I know that you, and you alone, know what is best for me. Give me the strength to worship you and you alone so that each moment of my life might be lived for your glory and not for mine. I am in constant awareness of how to maximize my own glory, but that glory will fade and pass away; you will abide forever. Teach me, O Lord, to be humble and God-centered, so that my words and deeds are Christ-centered and generous.
